Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
In a 3 quart saucepan cook garlic in hot butter over medium high heat 1 minute. Add cream, salt, and pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Boil gently, uncovered for 3 minutes or until beginning to thicken. Remove from heat; stir in Parmesan cheese.
Add pasta; toss to coat. If desired, top with additional Parmesan cheese.
