Cornbread Dressing
Aunt Debbie’s recipe
Ingredients
| 6 tbsps | butter |
| 1 cup | diced onion |
| 24 ozs | chicken broth |
| 1 cup | diced celery |
| 1⁄2 cup | diced bell pepper |
| 1⁄2 tsp | sage |
| 1 tsp | garlic powder |
| 10 cups | cooked and crumbled cornbread |
| 1⁄2 lb | cooked and crumbled hamburger meat |
| 1 can | cream of celery soup |
| 1 can | cream of chicken soup |
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large skillet, melt butter. Add onion, celery, and bell pepper. Saute’ 5 minutes.
- Stir in poultry seasoning, sage, and garlic powder. Combine cornbread, vegetable mixture and beef.
- Add cream soups and broth, toss gently. Spoon into greased 13x9 baking dish. Bake 30-35 minutes.
