Cornbread Dressing

Aunt Debbie’s recipe

Ingredients

6 tbsps butter
1 cup diced onion
24 ozs chicken broth
1 cup diced celery
12 cup diced bell pepper
12 tsp sage
1 tsp garlic powder
10 cups cooked and crumbled cornbread
12 lb cooked and crumbled hamburger meat
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can cream of chicken soup

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large skillet, melt butter. Add onion, celery, and bell pepper. Saute’ 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in poultry seasoning, sage, and garlic powder. Combine cornbread, vegetable mixture and beef.
  3. Add cream soups and broth, toss gently. Spoon into greased 13x9 baking dish. Bake 30-35 minutes.
